It is our hope that in the near future we will be seeing the result of this partnership in:

  • An updated policy environment in which the sector operates
  • Robustness of systems for disease control, rangeland management, animal nutrition, water for livestock production and environmental care
  • An Animal identification and traceability system;
  • An increase in number of quality beef cattle produced by our small holder farmers within the project area
  • A model slaughter facility meeting national standards – located in Sanga Town, Kiruhura District.
  • Increased involvement of women and youth in the beef value chain
  • Improvements in the quality and safety of meat that is consumed
